Captain Desirae L. Martins serves as Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officers Training Corps, Detachment 330, University of Maryland at College Park. As Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Capt Martins leads, recruits, trains, mentors, counsels and evaluates over 200 highly-qualified cadets across 20 locations as prospective Department of the Air Force officers.
Capt Martins entered Air Force Basic Military Training in September 2008 and graduated technical training as a Spanish Multi-Disciplined Language Analyst in November 2009. She served as an enlisted cryptologic Airman until commissioning through Officer Training School in May 2018, and completed technical training as an Intelligence Officer in January 2019. Throughout her time in the Air Force, she has held a variety of positions related to Signals Intelligence, Analysis and Production, Target Development, All-Source Intelligence, and Publicly Available Information (PAI) collection, analysis, and reporting in both Texas and Maryland. Prior to her current position, Capt Martins served as Group Operations Officer at the 691st Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group (ISRG) at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland where she guided Group-level operations for over one thousand personnel coordinating intelligence analysis support, allocating resources, and facilitating partnerships across seven organizations.
