Captain Kathryn M. Love
Captain Kathryn M. Love is the Operations Flight Commander and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies for the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 330 at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. In this capacity, she oversees and facilitates the recruiting, education, training, and evaluation of over 200 students from among twenty-one universities and colleges for commissioning into the United States Air Force as Second Lieutenants.
Captain Love earned her commission through the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Mississippi State University in 2019. Throughout her time in the Air Force, she has held a variety of positions including Section Commander for both Maintenance and Security Forces Squadrons, Military Personnel Flight Commander, and has deployed as a Protocol Officer. Prior to her current position, Captain Love served as the Director of the 72d Air Base Wing Commander’s Action Group at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. In this position, Captain Love managed over 35 projects and initiatives directed by the Air Base Wing Commander. She researched emerging Air Force developments and facilitated their implementation within the Wing. Additionally, she advanced Wing priorities by coordinating installation readiness and training events, engaged with Installation and Community Partners, and aided in the creation of strategic messaging for 94K base personnel.
