Colonel Jens D. Lyndrup

Colonel Jens D. Lyndrup is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 330, University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. He directs and administers an officer training program that provides the United States Air Force and United States Space Force with leaders of character. As Professor of Aerospace Studies, Colonel Lyndrup leads eight cadre members in instructing a curriculum covering the foundation, doctrine, and history of the Air Force and Space Force, as well as leadership fundamentals and national security affairs.

Colonel Lyndrup received his commission from Officer Training School in 1999 after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Appalachian State University. He is a senior navigator with more than 2,200 flight hours, including 800 combat hours, in C-130E/H/H2 mobility aircraft. He has served in a variety of operational, leadership, and staff positions at United States Transportation Command, Headquarters United States Air Force, and United States Air Forces in Europe. He is a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and a distinguished graduate of the National War College. Colonel Lyndrup commanded the 660th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and the 721st Air Mobility Operations Group. Prior to his current assignment, he served as Commander, 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii.
