Colonel Nathan Rabe
Colonel Nathan R. Rabe is the Commander, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 330, University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. He directs and administers an officer training program to provide the United States Air Force and United States Space Force with leaders of character. As Professor of Aerospace Studies, Colonel Rabe leads eight cadre members instructing a curriculum covering the foundation, doctrine, and history of the Air Force and Space Force, as well as leadership fundamentals and National Security Affairs.
Colonel Rabe entered the Air Force in March 1998 as a distinguished graduate of THE Ohio State University’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program. He served in multiple intelligence targeting positions and deployed as a targeteer in support of five named operations. Colonel Rabe also deployed to Afghanistan in support of a joint special operations task force. Additionally, he served in staff positions at the joint staff, intelligence agency, major command, and numbered air force levels. Colonel Rabe commanded the 93d Intelligence Squadron and was the Vice Commander, 363d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Wing. Prior to this position, he served as the Deputy Director, Mission Management, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, Springfield, Virginia.
